Paul and Ali Smith owners of Fred (GADKEY CHARTERMARK) aged 12 years after about 5 months on Senior Dog

Paul says: I started to use PetSpec’s Senior on my Stafford when he reached 12 years of age. He was getting a little stiff, and I also noticed that he was slowing down a lot, in fact in a morning it took him longer to come round than me! Walks were becoming a lot more leisurely as he started to prefer a slow walk down the lane rather than a run round the fields.

About a week after starting with the Senior Dog I noticed that he seemed more eager in a morning, and that the initial stiffness seemed to have gone. After four week’s I feel like I have a new dog: he has more energy, no joint stiffness and his coat looks amazing. He has recently won Best veteran in Show too, so thanks PetSpec!

PetSpec Working Dog launches Spiders Appeal for the 2011/12 Season at the CLA Game Fair

Spiders Appeal

The PetSpec professional range of innovative canine additives are delighted to assist with the launch of Spiders Appeal for the 2011/12 shooting season. Barry Atkinson and his spaniel Spider who uses PetSpec professional will be on the stand (M984) on the Friday.

With only 182 shoots left to visit Barry would be delighted to meet shoot owners and keepers where he has yet to beat to meet his target of 1000 shoots by the end of the campaign and to raise £1m split equally between the NGO Educational Trust and Cancer Research UK. Barry has already visited a staggering 818 shoots over the last eight seasons and starts this year’s grouse season in Northumberland.

New PetSpec Working Dog addresses the micronutrient balance in the diet with added Glucosamine, MSM and Chondroitin to ensure that your dog’s joints have all the natural ingredients to optimise joint health and mobility – essential if your dog is working hard throughout the season – either in the beating line or picking up for you.

PetSpec expands nutritional additive range.

The PetSpec Professional range of innovative canine additives has been expanded and improved.  The range now includes Working Dog (VAT free), Calm & Focused, Joint Mobility, Senior Dog and Show Dog. In addition to expanding the range new tamper evident packs with an easy open lid have been introduced to make usage easier.

The range have been formulated by PetSpec’s experienced nutritionists, with scientifically proven ingredients, to provide all the additional nutritional support needed to maximise your dog’s performance and help maintain a long and healthy life.

For example PetSpec Working Dog also contains added Glucosamine, Chondroitin and MSM to ensure that your dog’s joints have all the natural ingredients to optimise joint health and mobility. And PetSpec Calm and Focussed contains a new proven additive to calm excitable and stressed dogs and those whose exuberance does not allow them to focus on their job. It does not sedate the dog, but enables the dog to cope better in stressful situations. Also in the range are Senior Dog, Joint Mobility and Show Dog.

The new PetSpec Professional range is presented as a granular powder, which our trial work has shown increases the availability of ingredients compared to pellets. It can be simply mixed into the dog’s normal feed, if the feed is dry then moisten with a suitable liquid e.g. water, milk or gravy.
